Mr. Cohen has practiced automobile law, maritime law, and personal injury law in New Orleans since 1982. He has represented thousands of people who have been injured and hurt in all types of occurrences from the simple to the severe and complex. Mr. Cohen has tried hundreds of cases all over Louisiana. He has made case law throughout the Louisiana judicial system. Laurence has one goal – to get the most money he can for his clients without long delays or extensions.
Mr. Cohen graduated With Honors from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 1977. He was also the Captain of a championship Swim Team in 1976 – 77. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1982. He passed the Louisiana Bar Exam in July 1982. Mr. Cohen has 4 adult children and is married to Michelle Cohen. They reside on the New Orleans Lakefront.
Mr. Cohen has participated in an incredible variety of ultra distance sporting events – from cycling in the Race Across America, paddling over 100 miles on Bayou Teche, swimming around Key West and winning age group awards in Iron man Races. Laurence Cohen has the endurance to outlast any attorney or insurance company to get his clients the compensation they deserve.
